R&D Chief Engineer Geotech Science Co., Ltd, Taiwan Feb 2020 to Present
  • Developed real-time wireless sensor networks, including nodes, gateway, and server, as well as 4-8 channel multiplexer systems, and multiple handheld readouts for vibration wire and non-vibration wire sensors.
  • Carried out and supervised manual and real-time monitoring activities on civil engineering project sites in Taiwan.
  • Participated in the development of company software, specifically web configuration for IoT Gateway and web data management for manual and real-time monitoring.

    Working Projects
  • All-in-One LoRa Wireless Sensor Node (2024): Designed an all-in-one node device to support multiple sensors including VW and Non-VW sensors.
  • Vibration Wireless Node with FFT Analysis (2024): Leading in the development of VW Lora Node based on the theory of Swept Frequency Method combining the FFT technique.
  • Web data management (2023): Supervised a team in the development and analysis of web data management systems for real-time monitoring.
  • Multiple Handheld Readout (2023): Designed a handheld readout device capable of reading vibration wire sensors (frequency range: 400 – 6000Hz), as well as non-vibration wire sensors like electrical tilt sensors and linear LVDT sensors.
  • IoT Gateway (2022): Designed an all-in-one gateway device with 4/5G module, Wi-Fi & Ethernet connections, fully remote-control tools, and web-configuration capabilities.
  • Baihe Reservoir (2022): Developed and implemented real-time wireless sensor networks, including PoE gateways, vibration wire nodes (e.g., piezometer sensors), and non-vibration wire nodes (e.g., tilt sensors).
  • C212 Tainan Station (2022): Led the development of real-time wireless sensor networks, involving gateways, vibration wire nodes (e.g., strain gage and piezometer sensors), and multiplexer devices.
  • Fubon Life Insurance Kaohsiung (2021): Oversaw and conducted manual and real-time monitoring activities for existing twin MRT tunnels during the site construction phase.
  • Software development project (2020): Built a program to adjust the results of total station measurements in remote surveys using the least squared adjustment method.
  • La Son–Tuy Loan Expressway project (2016-2017): Improved soft-soil zones using Soil Cement Piles (SCP) and designed MSE Walls for approach embankments of Interchange Bridges Km65+419.8. Designed steel anchor structures to reinforce deep excavated slopes Km52 – Km66 + 247.07.
  • Tuyen Son-Tuy Loan Riverside Road Project (2016): Conducted examinations of generalized stability for an embankment on soft-soil zones.
  • The construction of the Gateway at the Western of the Hue City project (2015): Conducted examinations of generalized stability for abutments on a bored pile system and assessed the influence of soft-soil layers on approach embankments.
