Phan Khac Hai is an experienced R&D engineer specializing in geotechnical and structural monitoring. With a solid background in geotechnical design and monitoring, Hai has worked on various projects related to roads, highways, and underground works involving deep excavations and tunnels. He has collaborated with researchers from Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, and China, exploring captivating topics in geotechnical engineering, including deep excavations, tunneling, soil improvement, and geotechnical & structural monitoring. Hai’s research contributions have resulted in several technical papers published in renowned national and international journals and conferences, including prestigious publication in “Acta Geotechnica.” Moreover, he holds memberships with the Institution of Engineers Singapore and serves as a council member of the Vietnamese Experts Association in Taiwan.
Research Interests: Deep Excavation & Tunnel/Deep Tunnel constructions, Soil-Structure behavior, Slope stability, Ground Improvement, Natural Hazards, Ground Disaster, Automatic monitoring systems, (AI) Wireless Sensor Networks.
